This amazing book written by L.Pichin in my view a great author.In this great book the main character is Tom Gates who is very naughty as he doesn’t do is homework, only when he remembers. He is very good at art . This character is very likeable in my view as he is very artistic sporty and is good at other subjects .I do not dislike any of the characters personality however he doesn’t do his homework which is the downside for the teachers on the other hand  he says “the dog at my homework , he defeated aliens with his homework .(you get the point)” .These lies keep the reader amzued and interested.

In classes he gets bored easily and distracted very fast so he starts to draw and mess around in the school and outside.Tom response in a resilient manor for instance when he is in trouble he doesn’t stress or shout he takes it very calmly .In one situation Tom reacts in a bad way as when they are going to the band concert the tickets where destroyed by Derek’s  (his best friend )dog, chews them up he is upset and starts to   cry  on the floor therefor people give him money and food.Also he has a enemy called Marcus who he hates and so he try’s to annoy and embress him.

This book is like many books for instance diary of a whimpy kid and David Williams .It is mostly like dairy of a whimpy kid as he is annoyed at his brother , similarly Tom is irrated by his sister .In both books they both have best friends and enemies .And both have crushes on a girl , in Tom gates the book does not describe the school however the other book does .Another reason why they are different as they are in different countries Tom gates is based London where Diary of the wimpy kid is set in America .
